World Developer Uncopylock Policy

1. Purpose

This Policy governs the voluntary designation of a BrickVerse.gg World Experience as “Uncopylocked.”

By enabling Uncopylock, the Developer grants an open public copyright license consistent with permissive Creative Commons–style licensing principles.

2. Definitions

“Developer” means the individual or legal entity publishing an Experience on BrickVerse.gg.

“Experience” means all content uploaded within a world, including but not limited to:

• Source files

• Scripts and code

• 3D models

• Maps

• Textures

• UI assets

• Audio

• Documentation

• Metadata

“Uncopylock” means the Developer’s affirmative election to release the Experience under the Public License defined herein.

“Public License” means the irrevocable open copyright license granted below.

3. Public Open License Grant

Upon designation as Uncopylocked, the Developer hereby grants to the Public:

3.1 Copyright License

A worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully sublicensable license under all copyright and related rights the Developer controls to:

• Copy and reproduce the Experience

• Distribute and redistribute the Experience

• Publicly display and publicly perform the Experience

• Modify, adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the Experience

• Create derivative works

• Use the Experience for commercial or non-commercial purposes

• Incorporate the Experience into proprietary or open-source projects

• Sub-license derivative works under any license terms

This grant applies to all media and formats now known or later developed.

3.2 Creative Commons–Equivalent Intent

The Uncopylock designation is intended to function substantially similar to:

• A Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license, but without a mandatory attribution requirement unless separately specified; or

• A CC0-style public copyright dedication, except where full dedication is legally unavailable.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer:

• Waives enforcement of copyright restrictions;

• Waives claims for royalties;

• Waives claims for derivative creation;

• Waives claims for commercial reuse.

If full waiver is not legally enforceable in a jurisdiction, this section shall be interpreted as granting the broadest possible royalty-free copyright license permitted by law.

4. No Revocation

The Public License is:

• Irrevocable

• Perpetual

• Non-withdrawable for existing copies

A Developer may remove an Experience from the Platform, but may not revoke the Public License for copies already accessed or redistributed.

5. Waiver of Enforcement Rights (DMCA & Claims)

By enabling Uncopylock, the Developer:

• Waives the right to submit DMCA takedown notices for uses consistent with this Public License.

• Waives the right to assert copyright infringement claims for:

  • Copying

  • Distribution

  • Derivative works

  • Commercial exploitation

  • Rehosting

  • Repackaging

This waiver applies only to the version of the Experience designated as Uncopylocked.

6. Moral Rights Waiver (To Maximum Extent Permitted)

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer:

• Waives moral rights;

• Waives rights of integrity;

• Waives rights of attribution;

• Waives rights to object to modifications.

Where moral rights cannot legally be waived, the Developer agrees not to assert them against lawful reuse under this Policy.

7. Ownership Representations & Warranties

Before enabling Uncopylock, the Developer represents and warrants that:

1. They are the sole and exclusive owner of all intellectual property rights in the Experience; or

2. They have secured sublicensable rights that explicitly permit public redistribution and derivative works.

The Developer must NOT Uncopylock content containing:

• Licensed marketplace assets prohibiting redistribution

• Third-party copyrighted music

• Trademarked materials without permission

• NDA-protected content

• Restricted AI model outputs

• Proprietary SDK components not owned by Developer

The Developer assumes full legal liability for false representations.

8. Patent & Other Rights

To the extent the Experience includes patentable material, the Developer grants a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free patent license to make, use, sell, offer for sale, import, and otherwise exploit implementations of the Experience.

No trademark rights are granted under this Policy.

9. No Warranty; Limitation of Liability

The Experience is provided:

“AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

The Developer disclaims:

• Merchantability

• Fitness for a particular purpose

• Non-infringement

• Accuracy

• Security

BrickVerse.gg is not responsible for any disputes arising from Uncopylocked content.

10. Indemnification

The Developer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless BrickVerse.gg, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims arising out of:

• IP infringement

• Improper Uncopylock designation

• False ownership representations

• Third-party licensing violations

11. Platform Rights

BrickVerse.gg reserves the right to:

• Remove improperly Uncopylocked content

• Suspend or ban Developers

• Cooperate with rights holders

• Disable Uncopylock in cases of abuse

12. Acceptance

By selecting “Uncopylock” on the Platform, the Developer:

• Explicitly accepts this Public License framework;

• Confirms full IP ownership;

• Acknowledges the irrevocable open licensing grant;

• Accepts permanent waiver of enforcement rights for released content.
