Understanding Frozen Transactions and Rollback Transactions in Brickverse

At Brickverse, some account transactions may occasionally be adjusted or restricted by staff to protect users, maintain marketplace integrity, and comply with platform policies.

This article explains the difference between Frozen Transactions (Holds) and Rollback Transactions.

Frozen Transactions (Also Called Holds)

A Frozen Transaction is a temporary staff action that places a transaction on hold before it is finalized.

Why a transaction may be frozen

Transactions may be frozen when they are:

  • flagged as suspicious or unusual

  • pending moderation review

  • under fraud investigation

  • awaiting legal or compliance review

  • connected to disputed account activity

  • linked to marketplace abuse or policy concerns

What happens during a freeze

When a transaction is frozen:

  • the transfer is temporarily paused

  • items, currency, or account value may not be accessible yet

  • the transaction remains under staff review

  • no final outcome is applied until the review is complete

Important to know

A frozen transaction does not automatically mean a rule violation occurred. It only means staff need additional time to verify the transaction before allowing it to proceed.

Possible outcomes after review

After review, staff may:

  • release the transaction normally

  • convert it into a rollback

  • remove or cancel the transaction if necessary

Rollback Transactions

A Rollback Transaction is a staff action that reverses a transaction after it has already occurred.

Why rollbacks happen

Rollbacks are usually issued for:

  • refunds

  • payment disputes

  • accidental purchases

  • unauthorized transactions

  • fraud correction

  • marketplace corrections

What happens during a rollback

When a rollback occurs:

  • previously transferred currency, items, or value are returned

  • the original transaction is reversed

  • account balances may change immediately

Important to know

A rollback is a completed corrective action, unlike a frozen transaction which is temporary and pending/under review.
